Barry Shapiro 

Barry graduated from the New England Conservatory in 1982 and specializes in ethnic music: Italian, Irish, Israeli, German, French, Romanian, and the seven different regions of the former Yugoslavia. He was a founding member of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, Shirim of klezmer fame, and now leads the BSO-the Barry Shapiro Orchestra. Some of his theater experience include Hovey Players, Reagle Players, Newton South HS, and Harvard University.
