The Concord Players Announce Auditions for

Brigadoon graphic and credits

Synopsis: While hunting in the Scottish Highlands, contemporary New Yorker Tommy Albright stumbles upon the picturesque village of Brigadoon, which seems like a place out of time. There, Tommy falls in love — not just with a beautiful lass named Fiona, but with the village itself. Only then does he discover Brigadoon's secret: the town appears once every 100 years, for a single day, and will soon vanish into the mist. Will Tommy choose to return to his life in the modern world … or remain in enchanted Brigadoon, forever?

Character Descriptions

Concord Players is committed to diversity and inclusion. As such, we encourage performers of all races and ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities, and abilities to audition. We also recognize that these characters are written on the binary (use he/him or she/her pronouns) and we invite gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, and non-binary actors to submit for the roles they most identify with.

Please note: We will not be casting anyone under the age of 14.

Please note: In the event that anyone under the age of 18 is cast, it is Concord Players policy that all adult (18+) cast and crew members working on the production (with the exception of house staff and orchestra) will be subject to a Massachusetts CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) search. There will be no cost to any individual cast or crew member for this search. See here for the details of our policy.

The roles below are listed in the following format:

Character Name (presentation, age range, voice part [vocal range])
Short description of the role.
Dance: Dance requirements of the role.

Please note that the age ranges below refer to an actor's ability to portray a character of that age, and not necessarily the actor's actual age. If you have questions about vocal range notation, this chart may help.
